Welcome to the Kingdom of Thailand. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is delighted to support the Centara World Masters Amateur Golf Tournament, now in its sixth year, at the beautiful seaside city of Hua Hin in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Established as a major event on the golfing calendar, this year we are pleased to welcome visitors from more than 23 countries around the world.
We are sure that you will enjoy everything that Hua Hin and the Cha-Am region has to offer. Laying claim as the home of golf in Thailand, the Royal Hua Hin
Club, built in 1924, was Thailand’s first golf course. Now Hua Hin is home to nine quality courses, including two of the best in Asia.
In November 2013, Hua Hin was awarded by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) Asia and Australasia’s 2014 Golf Destination of the Year, an honor befitting the area’s rising popularity among golf visitors.
In October 2018, Hua Hin has won the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO)’s Award for Golf Destination of the Year for Asia 2019.
It is the second time that Hua Hin has won the award in this category since 2014, and the fifth time it has gone to either a region of Thailand or the country itself. Thailand also won IAGTO’s Emerging Golf Destination of the Year Award for 2006, the second time in only five years.
As well as great golf, you will discover the Hua Hin – Cha-am region also has wonderful beaches, scenery, fantastic food and nightlife plus accommodation to suit all travelers..
On behalf of TAT, I wish you a wonderful event experience in Hua Hin and safe travels as you journey around the Kingdom. We hope you return again with more of your family and friends. As every visitor to the Kingdom experiences, they will feel most welcome in The Land of Smiles.
